Automotive Glass Europe® managing director retires

Pim de Ridder, managing director at Automotive Glass Europe®

After 11 years with Automotive Glass Europe®, Pim de Ridder is to retire from his position as managing director on 1st June 2019.

In 2008, Pim was one of the founders of Automotive Glass Europe® and immediately became managing director and chairman of the board. The alliance started as a co-operation between 4 Partners and is now a network in 22 countries in Europe, North-America and Southern-Africa.

Pim succeeded in creating an alliance of market-leading AGRR companies in so many countries and despite all different national markets, the alliance allows Partners to operate in an international setting. This links up with the ongoing globalization of insurance, leasing and fleet management customers and their partnership enables them also to become true ambassadors of these customers.

Announcing his retirement, Pim said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Automotive Glass Europe® and have worked with many ambitious and committed people to achieve our objectives. It has been incredible to see the monumental growth in the group throughout the past 11 years.

“All AGE representatives truly believe that AGE Partners do not compete with each other; this is key to creating the right atmosphere to exchange knowhow. I wish the alliance every success in the future and believe that it will be a very bright one for all,” adds Pim.

The new managing director of Automotive Glass Europe® will be announced shortly.
